The prompt from napowrimo.net for Day 2 said:
Today, I’d like to challenge you to write a poem based on a word featured in a tweet from Haggard Hawks, an account devoted to obscure and interesting English words.
So I chose from the below:
To GLACITATE is to honk like a goose.
To CROCITATE is to caw like a raven.
To CUCUBATE is to hoot like an owl.
To PUPILLATE is to cry like a peacock.
To CUCURIATE is to call like a rooster.
To CHELIDONIZE is to chirp like a swallow.
To GLOCIDATE is to cluck like a hen. pic.twitter.com/cDS5Afs2EA— Haggard Hawks (@HaggardHawks) April 1, 2022
and wrote –
I glocidate
To educate,
(I cluck to underline)
My care of you’s
Sincere and true;
I’m so glad you are ‘mine’.
See you on Day 3! 😉
